Summer is
about fun, but it also includes learning at FMI STEM Academy, a boutique
college prep STEM school for 6th through 12th graders in Ocoee, Florida. Founder,
Justus Frazier a former high school and a college professor, knows all too well
that a solid foundation in math is critical to succeed in STEM careers. That is
why he created Math Combo Summer Camps.
This
summer, students are learning how to design their own 3D creation. They will be able take the design from a
thought, to designing it then to watching it being printed on a 3D
printer. The students will see that what they
learned with 3d printing and their math concepts will be foundational for success
in the fall. In
addition, students will visit the two-year Built Environment Program at
Valencia College to learn how 3D printing has impacted the drafting and design
industry.
